June Newsletter Rendlesham

Over the next few weeks we are going to be focusing on transitions.

We have lots of children moving up to the next room or on to “Big school”, so we will be working with the children to prepare them. There are leaflets available on the parents table in the foyer about ways you can prepare your child for school, including toileting and dressing themselves. But if you would like any further information please speak to myself of Clare.

Parents Conduct around the children

-Please can we remind parents that when you are in the nursery the use of phones is completely prohibited.

-Parents are not to access the children’s toilets at any time.

-Please ensure that your language and conversation topics are appropriate for a children’s nursery setting.

2 Year Funding

To check if your child is eligible for 15 hours per week free two year funding please click on the following link:

Toys from home:

Please can we ask that your child does not bring toys from home into nursery as they may get broken and may get lost. If your child has a special comforter then could you please encourage them to keep it on the peg or in their tray until needed. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Sun cream and Sun hats

Now that we are beginning to see some sunshine can we please ask that you bring in a sun hat for your child, clearly labelled with their name. This should be put on their peg at the beginning of each nursery session or left at the nursery in the sunhat box.

We ask that you apply sun cream before your child’s nursery session begins and sign the form to confirm this. We do keep sun cream at the nursery (minimum of factor 30) to reapply throughout the day or you can bring your own to be used on your child. Please ensure that you have labelled the bottle clearly and that you sign the sun cream form in your child’s classroom to state your preference

Finally, we would like to wish all the children that are leaving us over the next few weeks all the best for the future and we hope that they enjoy “Big school”.” You will all be very much missed, we hope that you will come back to visit and let us know how your experiences are going!

We hope to see some of you back at nursery for “Holiday Club.” If you would like any information about our Holiday club please speak to myself of Clare in the office.

Best Regards,
